Nick or Nicolas Guesqueire as he is known to his parents, is a French fashion designer. At the age of just twenty-five he became the head of Paris fashion house Balenciaga. He went on to replace Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton in 2013.
The eclectic mix of fabric in this piece is complimented printmaking and stitch processes. The result is a multi-layered collage reminiscent of graffiti and time-worn posters on urban walls.

This portrait is printed on Hahnemuhle German Etching archival paper. The acid-free paper is slightly textured, like watercolour paper, with a matte, natural white finish.
